    Default Webhost requirement to run AIHS!

    Generally,AIHS require PHP & MYSQL to run,but it need more specifics to work fine:

    1.Unlimted input time in php.ini:
    max_input_time:-1

    If it is a small value,the script may stop to process the uploading when you try to upload a big list of files.

    2.Unlimited memory in php.ini:
    if you see memory_limit in php.ini setted as a small value,for example,8M,this will stop the script work correctly.

    3.Should allow a big post data for PHP in php.ini:
    for exampleost_max_size:50M
    Also upload_max_filesize should be a big value,this will decide the max size of upload file,althrough you set a big value at admin panel for a host package.

    4.Install GD or Imagemagic.

    5.It is better to install PHP as a module of Apache.
    This will allow the static url,like http://site.com/show.php/1_file.jpg

    So we recommend a dedicated server to start.Or inquery your shared host company for these setting before running our script.

    Question Correct Commands

    Hello Yab,

    Please provide us the correct commands to use in php.ini file
    like -
    For uploading post max file size:
    upload_max_filesize = 10M
    post_max_size = 10M

    What is the right command & value of - Unlimited input time , Unlimited memory & others in php.ini file?
    What value should be in max_input_time ?

    Thanks

    Question

    Hello Yab,

    Through your system requirement script I checked my server status & it showed following- (please suggest me the correct value.)
    Max Input Time:-1
    Memory Size Limit:No set
    Upload Max Filesize:1025M

    I am using AIHS v2.1 currently & 4 days before I got an email from my webhosting provider informing me that the file images.php is consuming extremely large amount of CPU resources & they disable it. While my daily site visitors are only about 400.
    Is there any problem in above specified value. Will upgrading of script to v2.2 reduce consumption of CPU resources? I am on shared server.

    The first setting would be enough for a general image hosting site.

    currently this is my config:

    The current post data size of the php.ini is: 8MB
    Maximum size of POST data that PHP will accept.
    post_max_size = 8M

    The current memory limit in php.ini is: 128MB
    memory_limit = 128M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (128MB)

    The current input time in php.ini is: 60 secs
    max_input_time = 60 ; Maximum amount of time each script may spend parsing request data
    any suggestions ?
